Class 1 - Mrs Power (Reception)

Welcome to Class 1!

My name is Mrs Power and I am the class teacher.  I have been a teacher at Halebank C of E Primary School for over five years now and I have taught across all year groups. I love teaching outdoors, allowing the children to explore and interact with the elements around us and helping them gain an understanding of the world we live in. I enjoy working with children, watching them grow and blossom into more independent learners. In my spare time, I enjoy days out with my family visiting new places, especially with my baby boy Charlie.

I work alongside Mrs Harris who is the teaching assistant for Class 1. Mrs Harris is an experienced and nurturing teaching assistant who works hard to support myself and the children. 

PE

Our Class PE is on a Wednesday; your child is to come into school in their PE kits. Please ensure you take the weather into consideration and dress your child in appropriate kit for the day. 

Reading 

Reading books will be sent home every Monday and Thursday. We ask that you read with your child each night and write a comment in your child's reading record book. Books will be quarantined when they come in before going home with another child.
