Creative Arts

The creative arts fuel innovation and imagination, developing lifelong skills that help enable a student's perception, understanding, productivity and wellbeing.

Creative arts are activities that actively engage children's imagination through art, dance, dramatic play or theater, puppetry, and music. The creative arts engage children across all domains—cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical.

Involvement with arts and culture is crucial to imagination, self-expression and creativity in young people. It also develops the skills that fuel the success of the UK’s creative industries, and that will result in the next generation of creative talent across the country.

Enabling all our pupils to flourish in every possible way is of great importance to us at Halebank C E Primary. We take every opportunity to engage in all aspects of the creative arts to support our children in finding their passion and/or talents. Take a look at some of our experiences!

WINNER!

The Andrew Curphey Theatre Company is a unique and exciting platform for children and young people to gain skills for the World’s stage. Our Performing Arts, Musical Theatre, Drama and Dance classes are based in Warrington, Frodsham, Runcorn and Widnes. Classes are available for children and young people aged 5 - 19 years.

Great emphasis is on the ‘fun’ factor and developing confidence and social skills. We take to the theatre stage at various times of the year with our company’s dazzling productions.

TESTIMONIALS

"A BIG THANKS to Andrew Curphey Theatre Company for all your hard work and commitment you put in, but most importantly for giving the young people the confidence to believe in themselves"

"It never ceases to amaze me how you can make sure every child has their moment to shine"

Here at Halebank C E Primary School we are lucky to have Andrew Curphey himself working with us. He teaches drama, performance skills and confidence building to all our pupils and supports us in bringing at least two performances to the stage each year. Andrew also runs a Performing Arts after school club accessible to all pupils.
