School Meals
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible to a free school meal. Older children may be eligible for free school meals if you are in receipt of certain benefits or you have a household income below the Government Threshold.
The cost of school meals for children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, who are not eligible to a free school meal is £2.50 per meal. This is payable in advance and should be paid weekly, on a Monday for any meals to be taken during that week. Please send payment in a sealed envelope, which is clearly marked dinner money and with your child's name and class. Please send the correct money as dinner money change will only be sent home at the end of the term. Dinner money is accounted for separate from all other monies, therefore please do not include any other money in the same envelope.

From September 2024 school meals at Halebank C E Primary will no longer be provided by Halton Borough Council. An alternative provider will be sourced via rigorous research and analysis of those companies who offer the service and are cuerrently working within Halton. This process will involve our pupils as we value their opinions and believe that they will give us the best feedback on current and future school meals. An announcement about the new school meals offer for September will be available on the website as soon as a decision has been made.
