Information for Parents

At Halebank C of E Primary School we work hard to support our children and understand the importance of early identification.

We work closely as a team to provide support for our children, recognising the need for early help and interventions.

  • Soft landings every morning for children requiring time with an adult so they are prepared and ready to start their day
  • 'Nana Nurture' groups focusing on turn taking, communicating with others and building relationships
  • Regular check-ins throughout the day so children can feel secure and valued
  • Daily 1:1 reading sessions with target children
  • Daily phonics support (either 1:1 or in a small group)
  • Follow on Maths sessions in the afternoons for identifies children

We also contact and work with specialist services to support our children and encourage them to achieve their potential.
