Governors

Our Governing Board supports and challenges the work of the school, the headteacher and the staff, and contributes positively to the leadership and management of the school. The role of governors involves setting and reviewing the main objectives, policies and aspirations for the school. These include targets for educational improvement, the Strategic School Improvement Plan, the budget and staffing policies. The work of governors also includes monitoring the school’s progress and challenging the headteacher in a constructive and supportive way.

To get in touch with any of the governors, please contact the school office on (0151) 425 5798 or e-mail sec.halebank@halton.gov.uk

The full Governing Board meets once a term and two committees of governors work together to address specific areas including finance, staffing, curriculum, buildings and safeguarding. These two committees are Finance & Resources and Curriculum & Standards. Most governors have a designated role of responsibility linked to their skills and expertise.

A full profile of each member of the Governing Board, a register of attendance at meetings and an impact statement can be found in the files section.. Further information can also be found via the Get Information about Schools service.
